The Journey of FashtasticFlare

Hello my lovely readers, I would like to start this post off by thanking each and every beautiful soul who has read my blog posts, watched ...

It's ok to be unsure....

July 31, 2015

Hello my lovelies, and Welcome to my blog. I hope you are having a great day, if not I hope this post helps you feel better or look at life in a different perspective.
We all feel sad sometimes and feel like life is going too fast,or too slow or not going anywhere at all! Let's just take a moment and stop, clear your head of all negative thoughts, now breathe!
It's okay to be sad, it means your human. Just remember that this is a phase in your life and you will get through this, like you have done before. In order to appreciate happiness, you must understand what it is like to be sad.
Now being unsure in life is nothing to fear about, its something we must experience so we can understand what we want and more about ourselves. Since the age of 15 I thought I had it all planned out. But now at the age of 21 I have come to a point where I am uncertain of what I need to do with my life to reach the career I want. I have learned to accept that it's okay to be unsure of where your journey will take you. I think you have to live and learn alot of things before you actually find out what you really want, and it's better to be unsure then going along a path you do not want.

If you do not like your current situation, then change it! Change is something we must accept to open doors for a brighter future. If your current situation is on the road to want you want, then remember you will get there, you just have to overcome all the bumps and obstacles that come in the way!

The quote is very true because it is fear itself that stops us from making the decisions we want to in life. We start to doubt our ability and think negative. Instead we should challenge our fear because once we have overcame it, we look back and think what an achievement and I am glad I took a chance!
I never believed in this saying, but I am starting to accept this possibility that nothing is certain. I never thought I would start a blog and love it this much. For me 2015, has been a life changing year and I have really opened my mind to all kinds of possibilities, it really has made me realise that you are not limited in anyway. The only one who imposes a limit is you, why not dream the impossible, life always has a weird way of surprising you! So enjoy life to the max!
I love this, and I agree with this. I think we often seek others to believe in what we think and understand what we want but I guess that's where we go wrong. Not everyone we seek to believe in our mindset will understand, what we are actually thinking. We should instead believe fully in ourselves that way if haters try to slay you, nothing will bring you down! Once you decide to believe in yourself, then you will attract those that believe in your mindset!
Now I know alot of people out there have been hurt by people or circumstances have never quite gone the way you planned. But remember not to underestimate the power of karma, because what comes around goes around. If someone hurts you in any way, always remember to take it as an experience and know that karma is a bitch and most likely they will get what they deserve. Never stoop down to the level of a person who puts you down because there is a reason why they are below you. Karma has a funny way of working out, and you just got to sit there and watch because if you hurt someone intentionally then it will eventually hit you back in life. And nice people will always get the good things in life because whatever you put out in the world, you will get back! Just remember that!

Some quotes to make you think, and make you take a chance! Positive thoughts go a long way! Make a start now.....

I hope you this post you made you smile, if it did then please give it a like! Comment below with ideas of what post you would like to read?

Look Magazine Weekly #3rd August

July 30, 2015

Hello my lovelies, I hope you all are good. I know my blog has been quiet and I have not been posting lately, the reason for this is because I have not been too well. But do not worry I am going to post some more blogs over the next couple of days to make up for the absence.
It's that time of week again where I talk about all things fashion, if you missed my last post check out last week's Look Weekly
On to all things Look......
Lets kick this post off with something different, so I found this funny article that I found quite surprising about how single men are using Pinterest as a wedding planner. I love how men are actually taking more of an interest in the whole wedding planner, I bet every girl out there would love to know that there man of their dreams actually want's his say in the wedding planning! I just love it!!!
Now I see the denim jacket trend always manages to slip in every summer but I feel like it has to battle with the blazers because blazers have become more suited for the summer. I think everyone should have a denim jacket in there wardrobe because it is definitely a piece of clothing that really can change the outfit up. Plus it's great when you want a proper causal look!
One collection I am loving is the FOXES collection with H&M, I love there sweatshirts and the printed pieces are so cute. Plus sweatshirts are so affordable ranging from £7.99 to £9.99 definitely great for the Autumn weather! Now the piece of the week is this lovely white lace dress from Joy for £45. This dress has lovely kimono sleeves which makes the dress quite bohemian, also the lace trim on the neckline is just gorgeous. I think this is a great holiday dress, especially those going on a beachy holiday!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post, if you did then give it a like! Also comment below on what you loved about this post :)

Look Magazine Weekly #27th July

July 23, 2015

Hello my lovelies, I hope you having a great day. I'm back with another post, providing you with the latest fashion gossip and trends and pieces of clothing I am really liking this week from my favourite magazine. Want to know what I loved at the Paris Couture Week then check out last week's Look Weekly
On to all things Look....
Majority of you, who have been reading my blogs know I am lover of Dolce & Gabbana. They recently showcased their new collection, the collection is very fairytale like and I'm absolutely loving it! I feel that Dolce & Gabbana just know there floral detail, and they never disappoint when they work with flowers! I would say my favourite from this collection is the gold and red dress with the fairy wings, it's simply beautiful! If it was green it would definitely give off the Tinkerbell feel, when I think of fairies, the first one that comes to mind is definitely Tinkerbell!
So last week I did not do  my top picks of the week because nothing caught my fancy, but this week I have two picks that I am loving. So the first one is the River Island handbag, I just love there handbags! They are really worth the money and do last a long time, my family are always asking where my handbag is from when I invest in one! This one is black with a orangey/brownish contrast which is great for the office or daily wear, plus the bag is a good size and you can fit a variety of things in it. The second pick is this beautiful pale pink suede midi skirt, I just love the colour! Plus the suede trend has really impressed me on the types of clothing you can wear in this material, because for a lot of people it is not the first choice fabric. I definitely need to add a suede skirt to my wardrobe, I think everyone should have a least one suede inspired piece in their wardrobe.
So these four images are showcasing items that caught my eye, so lets kick this off with this yellowish jumper only £24.99 from H&M, a great pop of colour when the days start to get colder. I use to be one of those girls who thought black was the only colour in the world but once you start to wear bright colours, you never disrespect any colour again! Experiment a little you never know how good you will look. Also I have noticed that these crystallised rings are an in thing right now and they are a great hand candy that I would recommend, the ring the model is wearing is £7.99 from New Look, I think we should all go invest! Now on the picture on the right the model is wearing a lovely pair of emerald coloured earring with tassel detail, and they are simply divine. I think they would go great with a simple dress because the feature of your outfit will be the earrings! The earrings are from H&M and they are only £5.99, I think they are a bargain right there.

If noone has seen this H&M dress, then girl where have you been living. I have seen this everywhere and it is a dress everyone is talking about, its a great summer dress and great for the holiday especially if you are going somewhere hot! Now this dress is £49.99, so it is on the pricey side but if you have the cash then go splash it out. The stripe contract is just so pretty it has all the warm colours you could ask for! Also the Zara handbag at £49.99 is the icing on the cake. The last statement piece is the this lovely flowful dress with a plunging V neck from ASOS at £45, I think this will look great for a beach holiday!

So that was this week's fashion gossip, if you enjoyed this post then why not give it a like! Comment below telling me what you loved most about the post.

OOTD, Nails, Makeup and Hair

July 21, 2015

Hello my lovelies I hope you are all good. I know you all are thinking, she's back with another post, and I posted yesterday. Well I thought why not do a outfit inspired post about what I wore at the wedding I went to on the weekend!
On to all things Indian inspired ....
Indian outfit from India
So here you can see I have taken front and back shots of the Indian outfit. I really liked the colour, it's a beautiful aqua colour, also this colour is really in right now, I saw two of my cousins having similar outfits in this colour. My nan who recently went to India brought me back this outfit because she knew we had weddings coming up. The one thing I really like is the beautiful detail on the bodice of the dress suit, it's really shiny!
MAC eyeshadow - Aquadisiac
Now onto makeup, as I have mentioned in one of my posts before I do not know a lot about makeup. So I try to do the bare minimum *giggles*. My mum had some eyeshadow's lying around and I thought this would go great with my outfit. It is such a beautiful colour and because I do not have particular expertise in makeup, it did fade by the end of the day, I think I need to invest in a eye primer or something for it to last longer! If you have any suggestions then comment below.
I curled my hair, I was pretty impressed with the result
I decided to curl my hair for the party because I normally straighten my hair on a daily basis. When I firstly curled it I always feel that one side is better then the other, I don't know if its only me who doesn't know how to curl properly. However I was just so impressed on how my hair looked from the back, I must have done something right!
Earrings from India, Rimmel nail polish colours I used and Midi ring from topshop
On to accessories, the earrings were another gift from my nan. I simply love these earrings and they just go lovely with my outfit. With the nail polish I decided to metallic silver with mint green on the ring finger. I fancied a bit of shimmer instead of a block colour and it ended up looking quite effective. Also I included a close up of the bodice design, I love the silver shimmer!

Thank you for reading my post, I hope you enjoyed this fashion inspired post with a twist, If you did then please give it a like! Comment below telling me what you loved most about this post?

Faith, Belief, Just Be You!

July 20, 2015

"Belief
A word that starts with you!"
FashtasticFlare
Hello my lovelies I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I'm sorry this post is late I was suppose to post this on Saturday but I was at a wedding all weekend and didn't get much time to write this blog post. I know that is not a excuse and I do apologise.
This post is a bit different to what I normally post, but I thought everyone needs a little encouragement and appreciation when you are feeling low. I mean we all have those days when we feel will we ever be good enough? And we doubt our every move and think whether what we are doing is right. So this is a bit of a motivational post, it's a post to give you a little reminder of why your existence is precious to the world.

On to all things about You......
I have compiled a list of quotes that I say to myself when I am in a low mood and feel like I need some motivation. Before I go onto the quotes I would like to say that never think you are alone. I understand you can feel alone even surrounded with your loved ones, but sometimes you have learn to appreciate your own company, and learn to understand yourself as a person. I think this year for me has really taught me alot about myself, I have listened to my heart and understood where and what I want in my life. I have learned to value and appreciate the thoughts that have occurred in my mind. I would never have thought my life would change so quickly over a short amount of time, and I have had time to think and take decisions for my future.

"Never compare yourself to anyone. You are unique and are meant to be different."
FashtasticFlare
So I know sometimes we often look at other people who are around our age and think, look at how well and successful they are and here I am. As people we often compare our lives with other people but it often doesn't help you, and makes you feel more low in yourself. Remember to never compare yourself to anyone, because one thing we often forget is everyone is in the same boat, just at different stages of life. Some people know from day one what they want in life, some people find it out as they go on in life and some people are still figuring it, and there is nothing wrong with that. We all should encourage everyone around us, to help those who need that belief but most importantly believe in yourself! We all have goals and dreams in life but they are all unique to you, because the way you do things, no one else will do it that way. You know why? its because that's what makes you different from everyone else and that is what will make you stand out from the rest.

"Dream the impossible!
Have faith in your journey."
FashtasticFlare
When I was younger I use to think some of the dreams I had for my future were impossible, I felt I needed to be a more realistic. I guess I thought the safer route was more secure and more practical. However one thing I realised is that as I went along this more secure route I didn't enjoy what I planned out for myself, I started to think is this what I am destined for me. Then one day,  I started to question my  life, I sat there and thought maybe if I had believed in my impossible dreams then I would be more happier. My perspective on life changed, I learned that part of life is to take risks so you can see where life can take me. I learned that change is something I have to learn to appreciate and trust. And most importantly to have faith in what you plan for your future because believe me your hard work, determination, perseverance and doing what you love will always pay off.
"Try, Try, Try until you succeed
Never Give Up"
FashtasticFlare
When things are not going our way and things are not working out, most of us lose faith in ourselves and feel like giving up at the first hurdle. I know we all can relate because we all have felt like this at some point in our life. But picture this when we all were learning to walk every time we fell down, we still got up, we kept trying until we could walk. It's the same when we want something in life, never expect that you will grasp it the first time you try. We need to try, try and try until we succeed because we all have the power to conquer, achieve anything in life. When you feel like giving up remembering a memory in your life where you never gave up until you got what you wanted. And if you think you have given up on everything then, stop and think, you have not. Remember the time when you tried to talk, remember when you tried to write, the time you tried to dress yourself or even the time you learned to feed yourself. These are small achievements that have created big things in people lives, I know some people are like how can they be? shall I tell you how? Well the moment you learned to talk opened many opportunities for you, it gave the ability to communicate your inner thoughts, helped you to talk to people on different levels, even let you learn languages. Learning to write gave you the opportunity to express your thoughts, inner feelings onto to paper, this makes the best authors, poets, bloggers, journalists etc. Learning to dress yourself helped you to find your distinct style, a way you can express yourself visually this can lead to the great fashion designers, stylists, artists, actors etc. By learning to feed yourself, it helped to know what you liked and what you didn't like and its way to express yourself through the taste of food, this leads to the great chefs, best restaurants etc. I think you are starting to understand what I am trying to get at, if you believe you can achieve it then you can. YOU must believe to get closer to those dreams.......

Thank you for reading my post, I hope it inspired or motivated you in some way. If you enjoyed what you read then give it a like and comment below on your thoughts of this post!

Look Magazine Weekly #20th July

July 16, 2015

Hello my lovelies I hope you all are having a lovely week. So you know what day it is, it's Thursday and I am back with a Look Magazine Weekly. Check out last weeks Look Weekly, if you missed it. Before we get talking about the latest fashion gossip, I just want to say that I love this shimmer blue dress Taylor is wearing. The colour reminds me of the ocean, (*Sigh* Thinks of a beach and sunny weather somewhere that is better than this UK weather right now).
On to all things Look....
Now many fashion lovers will know that last week was Paris Couture Week, but those people who did not know, don't worry I will tell you about some statements collections that went down. I guess we should start with Versace because for most of the weekend they were a highlight everywhere, the Versace dresses are on the right. The dresses look great, they have a beachy feel but the bodice gives the dress a bit of edge and making it look sexy as well. I think the structured detail on the bodice is a great feature to this collection and partnered with those hair crowns makes you think Greek goddess! Also if you follow me on instagram I posted my favourite dress from the new Zuhair Murad collection and on my twitter I posted my favourite pick from the Elie Saab collection. These two designers are simply my fave! They just know detail, embellishment and sparkle, all things a girl needs, well for me anyway.
Now Lipsy has released their new collection and the beautiful Michelle is modelling all their dresses. I really like the new collection style it definitely has a timeless feel , I love how the dresses reflect the true elegance of the women without revealing too much. This blush pink dress is simply beautiful!
The trend of the week is the sheer/ see through overlay which is really cute, I have seen lots of skirts that have a thick trim of lace and all you can see is skin, I just love it. Its great for people who do not want to wear short skirts or dresses because you still get the coverage you would if you wore midi dresses/skirts. It's definitely a trend everyone should experiment with because there are so many styles!

I hope you enjoyed reading my post, if you did then please give it a like! And comment below telling me what fashion trend you are currently loving?

Meeting people that share the same interest as you. Also taking their passion to level where they are not afraid of what people think. I guess I love the freedom of expression, that bloggers have.

2) What is your favourite piece of clothing and why?
This is a hard one. I think I would say dresses because there are so many styles and you can layer them up, and dress them down. I guess I like the option you have when wearing dresses, like accessories and jewellery and the way you feel!

3) What one word would your friends use to describe you?
I would say reliable, someone you can depend on. Always there to help and listen.

That's a hard question. I think, my wish would be that I wish everyone can find one reason to be happy everyday!

5) What has been the best day of your life so far and why?
I don't know, ermm...... I think I would say when I got into university because It felt like all my hard work had finally paid off. I felt like I can finally achieve things in my life once I put my mind to it! The reason why it was one of my best days so far is because I could see how proud my mum was, and for me, I knew I was doing it for her!

6) Would you rather go back in time or go forward to the future, and why?
I would rather go back in time because I feel like there was so many great people that we have only heard in stories, so a chance to meet those people. And I just want to experience how it was like back then! Plus the future will come but you can never go back in time.

7) What is the one beauty product you couldn't live without?
Body Moisturiser.

8) If you were stuck on a desert island, what 3 things would you take with you?
A first aid kit cause knowing me I would probably injure myself.  Second item will be a knife cause it will come in useful. The last time would be a pack of glowsticks, because they last a long time and at night someone can hopefully see a message I created.

9) If you could eat just one food for the rest of your life, what would it be, and why?
Chocolate, because its chocolate. :)

10) Where do you hope to see yourself in 5 years time?

I would say doing what I love, with the people I love. And showing and inspiring the world by being me.

Danny boy, blue! - Rimmel Nails Review

July 11, 2015

Hello my lovelies, I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. We all like to paint our nails, whether that is you doing it or getting your nails done at a salon. So I thought why not do a nail polish review, everyone has had times when they want to buy a nail polish but don't know whether it is good or not.
On to all things Nails ....
Photo by me, On the night I painted my nails
The nail polish I have picked is from Rimmel's 60 seconds Super Shine range and the colour is Danny Boy, Blue! It's a beautiful colour and it is shiny!
1) Easy application, I had to apply about two coats. It did take a while to dry (about an hour).
2)It has been about 6 days, it has only chipped ever so slightly on the tips, but I have been doing the washing! It will only need a touch up.
The next day, the colour appears different outside :)
I am actually satisfied with this nail polish because the shine is still visible which is amazing. I love the colour its so statement and eye catching. I will be trying more colours from this range and I would recommend to all those nail polish lovers out there searching for a great colour.

I hope you enjoyed this post, if you did then give it a like! Comment below on Nail colours you are currently loving :)

Look Magazine Weekly #13th July

July 09, 2015

Hello my lovelies, I hope you all are having a lovely week. Before I start this post off, I would like to say thank you to all my followers on bloglovin! I woke up to find out I had hit 100 followers, I am so happy that you enjoying what you are reading, and may this blog continue to grow!
Now back to Look, check out last week's Look Weekly if you missed it, on this week's issue we have the lovely Victoria Beckham and she is looking ever so pretty. The reason why she is the star on the cover is because over the weekend posh and becks had there anniversary, celebrating 16 years of their marriage. Plus Victoria does have great fashion sense,I'm loving the necklace she is wearing, its definitely making a statement against her black outfit.
On to all things Look....
From Dolce Lace to Suede
For all the fashion lovers out there, you are probably aware that many of the big designers have been releasing there collections for the AW15 (Autumn and Winter), and Dolce & Gabbana did not disappoint with there season trend! Now a lot people know that D&G love lace, so they decided to revamp and reinvent style and I am simply loving it. I just love the floral detail, especially the red roses, just beautiful.
ASOS is featuring in my pick of the week, suede inspired denim look dress. I absolutely love the seam detail, its so simple yet so effective. I definitely think this is a great piece to wear in the summer plus it will look great with tights and a pair of ankle boots in the winter.
Feathered Skirts, Metallic Midi Pleats to Capes!
I have narrowed down my three favourite trends this week, lets kick this off with Chanel's feathered skirts. They are just gorgeous I never thought I would love feathers this much, and the Coast inspired one is so lovely, it is on the expensive side but it's just lavish! I simply love the colour and the embellished detail is just right, giving you the right amount of sparkle!
These Metallic Midi Pleated Skirts are just what you need for a night out or party! This item of clothing will give you the shimmer in all the right places and adds a glamour feel to your style! I think these skirts will be great for the winter night outs plus you will definitely rock this look at Christmas parties!
The last trend is the cape style, which was a trend that slowly crept into shops last year! The cape style was introduced by Burberry, I think capes are great because its like wearing a fashionable blanket. I am definitely going to be looking for my cape for this autumn and winter!

I hope you enjoyed reading about all the fashion trends this week, if you did then give it a like! Comment below on your favourite trend this week?

Prom inspiration #3 Hairstyles and Jewellery

July 06, 2015

Hello my lovelies, I am back with my last post for Prom inspiration, I have really enjoyed this journey we all have been on, from talking about the dress to the shoes and clutches and now to hair and jewellery. If you missed my previous post then check out Prom Inspiration #2 where I talk about the types of shoes and clutches that go with the dress!
On to things Hair and Jewellery ......
So as you see I have selected simple styles because I feel you do not want your hair overworked and really complicated. I think you would want a hair style that look elegant yet effortless.
1) Loose waves - I love loose beachy waves I feel they give a great freeness and flow to it. Plus it definitely gives you that effortless look. You can pair it off with a lovely small rose to add to the glamour!
2) Curls, Curls and More Curls - Everyone loves a bit of curls and they look great when you take shots of it from the back, plus there are so many styles you can do. You could go for tight curls which will give you a lot of volume if you decide to brush them out. Or you could go for loose drop curls which look really nice but are always hard to get right, plus if you have fine silky hair like me, they are mostly likely to drop out quicker. So I would recommend using a good hairspray!
3) Sleek Straight - For those people who don't usually straighten their hair, this is a great style to try and you can style it in many ways! Plus with great volume you can create a great up do!
Now Jewellery is always a difficult choice, the reason why I haven't included any images are because it is hard to narrow a selection. I would say earrings, rings and a light bracelet would be enough, I'm not saying you need to wear all those jewellery pieces. The reason I have not said a necklace is because a lot of dresses have statement necklines so they kind of give you a necklace. I would say statement earrings with a nice cocktail ring would look beautiful with any dress!
To all those people celebrating and attending their proms, I hope you girls have a wonderful time and found my posts somewhat inspirational! Party like there's no tomorrow, don't forget to take lots of selfies! ;)

I hope you enjoyed this post, if so give it a like! Tell me what you loved most about the Prom Inspiration series?

Versatile Blogger Award - I Nominate You

July 04, 2015

Hello my lovelies, So as you can see this is a bit different to what I normally post. Where do I start well I have been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award, by the lovely Sarah (click her name to see her blog) thank you for nominating me! Check out her blog she does great posts plus she has the cutest rabbits everrrrr!

On to all things me....

So I have to tell you 7 facts about myself. I feel 7 is such a concise number, but here I go ( this is definitely going to be hard)

1) I started this blog in mid may, the reason why I started a blog was to express my love for fashion, style and being creative!

2) I have finished my second year of my degree (which is not fashion related this is because I have realised my passion for fashion this year and it was too late to pull out)

3) I hope to own a dog one day, I want a white west highland terrier they are so cute.

4) I am a total makeup rookie, I do not understand how you use all the products on your face. I sit there watching makeup tutorials but yet to try out all these products. But I have started to experiment with lip colours.

5) As well as my girly side, I love to watch and play games and I am a big football fan!

6) When I was younger I was always seen with a paintbrush and art pad, my dream was to be known for my art work.

7) Lastly, One thing I have learnt this year is that a goal, a dream, no matter how big it is, if you believe in it and work at it then the sky is the limit, Anything is possible and anything can happen. We just have to embrace change and have faith in our journey :)

Look Magazine Weekly #6th July

July 02, 2015

Hello my lovelies, I hope everyone is feeling more cooler after the hottest day of the year here in the UK! It's that time of week again where I am back with a Look Weekly, if you missed last weeks Look Weekly check it out. I have some great delights to share with you this week, firstly let's just take a moment to admire Cara's beauty in this strapless Greek goddess style dress. She looks so pretty and that necklace just adds that extra sparkle to the outfit.
On to all things Look.....
The first trend is this new style of jeans, now I love my jeans. I think I have around 6 pairs that are in different styles and colours, you can tell I'm more of a jeans person. I just love the zip feature on this new trend, definitely gives a biker feel but I thinks zips give the outfit an extra edge. These jeans will look great paired with a black leather jacket! Another jeans trend I like is the ripped style at the knees, I'm on the hunt to find my perfect pair ;)
So apparently Kendall was spotted with this new trend on the mental-toed shoes, now I normally don't criticise trends but this one is one I do not like. I just think the mental-toe just ruins it, I guess its a shoe that will appeal to some people or just people who want to follow celebrity style! But one thing is for sure I will not be buying a pair.
I have selected three picks this week of clothes that caught my eye. Lets start with River Island, these beautiful lace maroon shorts are so cuteee! They are definitely great for this weather plus what's not to love, when its in LACE!!!! The second pick is this gorgeous feathered waistcoat, I know what you girls are thinking, this looks to hot to wear right now. It does but its great to stash away ready to wear in the Autumn, just think about it! And lastly the last item is from Coast, this maxi style skirt is so beautiful! Its great for the summer, you can wear it at a party, wedding or just wherever you feel. The colour is just so bright, definitely will make people look again.

I hope you enjoyed my post, If you did give it a like also let me know what your favourite trend was?
