Prom inspiration #2 Shoes and Bags

June 29, 2015

Hello my lovelies, Welcome back to Prom inspiration #2 if you missed the first Prom Inspiration - The Dress check it out. The first post talks about buying the dress and the different styles and colours you can go for. Now we are going to explore the world of shoes and bags to go with these great dresses.
On to all things Shoes and Bags .....
I'm going to kick this off by talking about the shoes you can wear, now the shoes really depend on the dress. Let me explain, so if your wearing a maxi dress that has no slits in it then your shoes are likely to be hidden . Whereas if you wearing a midi or mini dress then your shoes are going to be a feature to your outfit because people are going to see them. So you have to make that decision on whether the shoes you are choosing, are going to add that statement to the outfit or just a subtle hint of colour to it!
ASOS White High Heels £32, Black Tie Up Court Shoes £24.99, ASOS Pointed Heels £30
I have selected 3 different styles that can be bought from ASOS, and the colours will suit any dress.
1) ASOS PENNY Pointed High Heels - I love the silver mirror style panel, it would look beautiful with a mini or a midi dress. These are some statement shoes, definitely ones to show off not hide. The shoes come in a lovely off white colour which will compliment the current pastel theme, but they are also available in lilac! Also it has a holographic faux snake skin detail which is different from any heels I have seen.
2) New Look Terrance Black Tie Up Court Shoes - So I guess many people would wonder why I selected the tie up pair of court shoes, but I feel there are some girls out there who like to be different, so these are for you! Tie up shoes in general have been a popular trend this season and I just love the tassel detail, they give a great look as you are walking away. It's a style to be appreciated, and it will definitely leave people talking!
3) ASOS PIXIE Pointed High Heels - These shoes will look great with any style of dress, because the simplicity of them is what makes them stand out. These nude heels are great against those light colours, I love the seam detail around the edge it suits the pointed toe well.
Embellished Box Clutches £35, Box Clutch With Metal Detail £35, Bow Detail Box Clutch £30
Now we have finished with the shoes, onto the bags or the more technical term clutches. I have selected 3 styles of box clutches because I feel these would go nicely with the dresses we are styling. For some people they feel the clothing is not the main feature that make the outfit, its the small accessories that add to it. There are many people out there who love bags and me being one of those people, a good clutch goes a long way!
1) River Island Embellished Box Clutch - What I love most about this clutch is the embellishment, its so pretty. There's lovely hints of pearl against the golden frame. This would go great with a simply dress that doesn't have heavy embellishment on it!
2) Aldo Box Clutch With Metal Detail - Now this clutch looks great when looking at the white and gold contrast, it has a clean look to it. The detail gives it the extra edge, the clutch definitely looks more expensive and great for any event!
3) Liquorish Bow Detail Box Clutch Bag - The bow is what caught my attention when I was looking for clutches, its so cute! The white and black contract go really well with the gold frame and the lining inside the clutch is bright red, adding that bit of drama.

I hope you had fun reading this post, and hoped it inspired you in some way, if so leave a like! Let me know what your thoughts are?

Look Magazine Weekly #29th June

June 25, 2015

Hello my lovelies, I'm back with another Look Weekly. For the new readers welcome to my blog, this post will feature my views on certain trends of the week and what particular fashion styles and clothing I am liking. And for my existing readers I hope you are enjoying my finds and thank you for enjoying my posts :)
Firstly lets just admire how beautiful Rihanna is looking, she looks absolutely gorgeous in this simply red dress! I love the free flowing curls, they just add to the elegance.
On to all things Look...
Lets kick this off with this new print that has had everyone talking, so the chevron print is often the main attraction to the outfit because it is such a stand out pattern to wear. For me I like the dynamicness of the print and it gives off a vintage to retro style to your outfit. Its a great printed piece to have in your wardrobe because you match it with a basic tee if you are wearing chevron printed trousers or just wearing a chevron dress jazzed up with jewellery will look great for a night out!
So this newest Ukrainian label Vyshyvanka by Vita Kin, has been trending on social media feeds with these boho styled dresses. They look so pretty I quite love the boho style aspect of free flow dresses, they are great to accessorize and wear in the summer. I love the tassel tie part of the dress it adds that extra boho chic feel to the dress.
The two brands which clothing I really liked this week are Warehouse and Boohoo.com. I really like the dress from Warehouse, it has a beautiful floral print with tones of yellow and green, definitely a lovely summer piece! Now boohoo are loving their prints here, the top is only £15 which is so affordable. But the detail on this top is just so lovely, I love the stripes and block colour contrast and the zip surrounded by the leather add that extra edge. Also the sunglasses are so different, to me they give off a futuristic feel and I loving the hue shading of the pinks and blues in the lenses.
So lastly I just wanted to point out the two trends I have been really loving recently which are shown through these magazines shots. So firstly I really love the colour jade this summer, it reminds me of the meadows as well flower bushes. I guess its a colour that really reflects nature and I feel summer is one thing some people love to explore, we all love walks in the parks and admiring nature! The second trend is off the shoulder tops, I really want to experiment with this top style because I haven't owned any tops like this before. I feel fashion is all about exploring different styles and going out of your comfort zone, so why not try something you haven't tried, you may even like it!

I hope you enjoyed reading my post if you did give it a like, check out my previous Look Weekly, and let me know below on what trends your currently loving

Prom inspiration #1 The Dress

June 22, 2015

Hello everyone, I hope you all are well. So for many students who have finished their exams and GCSE's they are looking forward to their prom, its time to party and let go after all the hard work everyone has been doing! I know proms are normally held in the month of July here in the UK, so I thought why not do a post inspired for all those girls who are looking for inspiration or for those girls who are thinking about what they would like to wear in the future :)
On to all things Prom....
So lets kick it off with the dress, I guess this is the most important piece of clothing you will be wearing on this day and I have compiled a list of dresses I think will suit anyone an d help those who just confused about what to wear!
Tip 1 - Some proms have themes, if I remember going back to my prom (which was 5 years ago) our theme was Hollywood Red Carpet. So you can imagine glitz and glamour! So try and comply with the theme but add your own flare on it!
Tip 2 - There are a range of styles you can choose from, so never feel you are limited in anyway! Go for something you will be comfortable in and make sure the dress represents you, add your own twist on it!
Tip 3 - Remember to have fun with prom shopping, prom is an experience where you can finally have fun after months of hard work and revision! And your going to be partying with your friends and all the people you have been studying with for the pass 5 years. So you will look thinking what a night to remember.
White Maxi Dress £85, Pink Tulle Prom Dress £75, Nude Bodycon Prom Dress £120
These are my three picks from River Island, this selection is very simply and yet still effective. They are very light and subtle colours and will suit a variety of complexions. I picked a maxi, a midi and a mini because everyone has a particular style they like or prefer but do not be a afraid to try something different and out of your comfort zone.
1) White Sequin Embellished Pleated Maxi Dress -  This is a beautiful white dress, the pleated skirt is so free and clean! It gives you sense of freshness and a beachy feel, for me anyway, there is something angelic about it! I love the bodice, it has lovely white, silver and hits of blue sequin detail which is like the icing on the cake. And it has a lovely sheer neckline, for those girls who want to keep it simply and like more of a cover up, then this is definitely the dress for you!
2) Pink Embellished Tulle Skirt Prom Dress - The main attraction to this dress is definitely the tulle skirt, if you want that princess look but with a modern twist, this is that dress! Also it has a lovely strapless bodice with the right amount of sparkle on it, its one of those dress's which will make people go WOW!
3) Nude Glamorous Embellished Bodycon Prom Dress - For those girls who like more of a fitted dress, and like to flaunt what your momma gave you then this is the dress! It is the most expensive out of this collection but since when have beautiful things been on the budget side! Its a lovely colour and has beautiful beading detail on it, the sheer long sleeves even have beaded detail. You definitely do not have to accessorize with this dress all you need is a pair of earrings and your ready to dance the night off!

Black Prom Dress £59.99, Navy Maxi Dress £69.99, Aqua Prom Dress £59.99
Now these are my top 3 picks from Quiz fashion, Quiz have a beautiful collection of dresses and they are great for events like proms, weddings, parties etc. What I love about Quiz is that their dresses are so different and there windows displays are amazing, me and my mum always end up in the shop, its that good!
1) Black Embellished Mesh Prom Dress - I do not always like black, because there are so many beautiful colours in the rainbow. However this dress I picked for all those girls who feel black is the only colour in the world, and the good thing about this dress is, its not purely black. This dress has beautiful gold embellishment on the waist of the dress as well on the shoulder and I absolutely love the sheer neckline! The mesh skirt is so pretty and the trim design is simply gorgeous.
2) Navy Chiffon Beaded Pearl Maxi Dress - So we are back with another maxi dress, this dress gives off a timeless feel, like there's some mystery to go with it. Beautiful shade of blue and compliments really well with the silver embellished neckline. The saying 'diamonds are a girl best friend' suits this dress, it has a edgy cut out back detail that adds that bit of danger to the outfit. It's for one of those girls who want to be a bit risky and likes to reflect her edgy side! A smokey eye look will add the gem to the stone to this dress.
3) Aqua Mesh Sequin Embellished Prom Dress - This dress reflects the pastel trend right now, Aqua is a colour often thought to remember the sea or ocean. For me the colour is really striking and refreshing and the pictures will look great, its great for people who don't like a bold or dark colour. It has a lovely silver sequin detail on the bodice and it has a certain glamour appeal, great for any red carpet!
ASOS Midi Dress £55, Missguided Lace Dress £55, Little Mistress Maxi Dress £75
We are down to our last three, now you have probably noticed that these three are very different to the other dresses. I selected these dresses from ASOS and I just love the variety of this collection I have put together. These dresses can been worn at a number of events so you can restyle them up and down, and get a number of looks from them!
1) ASOS Mesh Insert Square Neck Midi Dress - I know what I said about black above, but this have tones of beige through the skirt. I feel this dress is great for a retro theme and I love the simpleness of it. It can be dressed with accessories or you can leave it simple, its just so prettttty! I love the square neckline its so different!
2) Missguided Premium Lace Long Sleeve Skater Dress - Now red and lace is two of my favourite things when it comes to fashion, I just love it! I love the sweetheart neckline and the lace detail on the sheer long sleeves is to die for. This is a statement dress, Red represents boldness, being daring and a hint of elegance mixed with sexiness! Any girl who wears this will look hot and, its definitely a head turner dress.
3) Little Mistress Belted Maxi Dress In Floral Ombre Print - Ombre has been a theme I have seen a lot of this year from nails to hair, but clothing is where you can take it to a level beyond anything. This dress has beautiful tones of pinks, lilacs and florals! It just screams summer, definitely would suit people who are quite adventurous with their hair colour, as pastel shades have been an in thing right now! Its just a fun dress.

I hope you had fun reading this post, I had a great time writing it! If you enjoyed this post then give it a like and let me know about your prom stories or what your thinking to wear?

Look Magazine Weekly #22nd June

June 18, 2015

Hello my lovelies, I'm back with Look Weekly, check out my last post Look Weekly 15th June. So I love reading this magazine because it gives me my weekly dose of fashion mainly! I love this week's cover and Jennifer is looking beautiful in this one shoulder sparkly dress.
On to all things Look.....
Primark, Primark and More Primark!
We all know that Primark have released there new season collection, I have seen it over various social media. Now Primark is one of those shops where you can get some great buys and style them with a range of outfits. The lace blouse that is £14 is really pretty and it is definitely a piece which can work with a range of styles! The dress which is a plum colour is very different, I agree with the Look writers where they say it gives a 70s feel, definitely a blast from the past! I'm really looking forward to this collection I feel like Primark have really pulled it out the bag here, and definitely thought of statement styles!

Fringing to Suede to a Red Hot Blazer!
So fringing has been a trend that has flown threw this year spring and summer collection, last year it was through the kimonos and now it has gone to tops, skirts and even dresses. Fringing is great for showing movement, and drama to a simple outfit, that's what I love! I use to think of fringing being more for the wild west style but now you can incorporate it to a range of looks and create any style you want! Absolutely loving this trend!
One thing I'm loving about the Suede fabric is the skirts and shorts, they look so cute and great for the festival season, definitely a fabric I need to add to my wardrobe!
Now lastly I spotted this red hot blazer from New Look, it is such a fiery colour and this will make an outfit go from day to night! It's such a statement colour, and I think every girl should have a least one statement coloured blazer in their life and wardrobe!

I hope you enjoyed reading my post, I would love to here your thoughts about the trends and topics mentioned in my post,

Shoe Shares - Vans Review

June 15, 2015

Picture taken by me, this was taken when It was sunny!
Hello my lovelies, so many people know that the weather over the weekend if you are living in the UK was awful. So I got to wear my Vans this weekend again. I thought why not do a vans review and tell you what I love about my first pair of vans.
On to all things Vans....
Like I mentioned above this is my very first pair of vans, I decided to go with the black and white colour because it goes with everything. There are so many styles of vans to choose from, and don't get me started on colours! They are super comfy and live up to the hype everyone goes on about. We all need a good pair of shoes, especially when we are walking a lot or just need a break from heels! But they are great in the rain, your feet are not left drenched like they would be in flats! And they look great with jeans, what more could a girl ask for. I definitely would recommend anyone who is considering, to grab themself a pair, I am still on the hunt for my perfect converse :)

Also recently Vans have released a Disney collection, and I think some of the prints of the characters are so cute! I really like the Mickey mouse Vans I think the red with the print contrast goes really well and I may be tempted to invest in a pair! I love the Winnie the pooh ones as well, and for those girls who love Disney princesses they have a collection dedicated to them and they look so magical and the printed detail is amazing.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post about my shoe shares, let me know your Disney Vans favourite? or your view on Vans?

Look Magazine Weekly #15th June

June 11, 2015

Hello my lovelies and welcome to my new post. I hope you all are having a lovely day wherever you are! So I love to read magazines and anything really but Look is one magazine I have followed through my teenager years. Its simply great and I feel like it gives me an insight to what's new in the fashion world!
On to all things Look.....
There was two items of clothing that caught my eye in this issue and thought why not share them with my fellow friends!
So lets kick this off with the first item of clothing, this beautiful lace top from Coast. I know Autumn/Winter is far away, I mean in the UK we are just about getting the Summer we have been craving for like now! But in this issue they have showcased a sneak preview of a limited edition collection releasing in the later months of the year, and I thought to share this top because it is so gorgeous. I love lace, its my favourite fabric and I feel you can never go wrong with a bit of lace! I love the structure of the top and the hem of the top is soo cute! I just love it!
Now onto to the next item, I'm really liking the palozza pants trend that has been going on recently and this jumpsuit is so retro, and it's reasonably price from H&M at only £29.99. I think palozza pants give you the sense of freedom and flow which I think is great for the summer.  I love the belt they have paired it with, it really adds that extra pop to the outfit!

That's all for this issue, but because I did not get time to post two trends I particularly loved from last week's issue, I going to quickly mention now.

These trends really caught my eye, so firstly the button up sailor style shorts from H&M I'm really loving, I just love the buttons! I think those buttons really work when thinking of sailor style, and they will be great for the summer!
Secondly The Pinafore, I am definitely not new to this style. I purchased my first pinafore dress about a year and half ago but mine was from the Autumn/Winter collection and the material was corduroy. So when I saw this article that they have brought it back for the summer wear, I got really excited. I love the design of Pinafores because its like a dungaree but in dress style! I will definitely be on the hunt to look for my summer Pinafore this season.

I hope you enjoyed this, let me know about any new trends or items of clothing your loving right now,

Style Steals - Jewellery Haul

June 07, 2015

Hello my lovelies, I'm back with a post which is slightly different to my first three! I absolutely love Jewellery, I mean who doesn't :)
Lets talk all things Jewellery .....
So last week I went shopping with my mum and I popped into an Outfit near where I live, and I don't know what it is with this shop I always end up buying jewellery sale items. I mean what more could you ask for, right! This Outfit store does really good discounted jewellery, and weirdly enough this time I ended up buying 2 Necklaces, 2 Rings and 2 Bracelets, strange indeed!
My style steals feature 4 items from Dorothy Perkins and 2 from Wallis, each item was £3 each, what a bargain!
I really wanted something with tassels on, these bracelets are so cute and will look great with a range of outfits, also the necklaces were different and quite simple which I liked. And the rings have the glitzy glamour feel to them!

If you would like to see me style these alongside outfits, then leave a comment below,

I hope you enjoyed this post, for more things fashion & style or if you like a bit of an adventure then follow my blog! :)

Till we meet again, Sonam xox

Drama VS Elegance

June 03, 2015

Naomi Watts, Sonam Kapoor and Nadine Labaki
all wearing dresses designed by Elie Saab

Hello everyone I know this post is late, and the Cannes Film festival is truly gone and finished but I wanted to end my last post on my favourite two designers at the event.
On to all things fashion....
So many people are aware of this designers work I mean who doesn't wear his dresses, they are all about making a statement and drama. This designer's name is Elie Saab who is one of my favourite designers, his dresses are so different that most of them make you fall in love with them instantly!
Lets kick this off with the gorgeous Naomi Watts in this beautiful dramatastic dress, in a lovely light gray colour. This dress has so much going on, the feathers are definitely a winner on this dress and you can see those sparkles popping out from the bodice! What more could a girl ask for, definitely a dress that leaves you starstruck!
Onto the next dress, now we may share the same first name but this dress worn by Sonam Kapoor was the ONE dress I did not fall in love with. There was just too much going on, its one of those dresses that you either hate it or love it. The things I did not like about this dress was that the neckline was too much from the feathers to the layering and thickness! But having said all that I did like the beading and embellishment, I guess for me I would have preferred it more toned down.
Now the last dress that looks completely different to the first two, no feathers and no sparkles but the one thing that makes it similar to the other two dresses is the element of drama. I love how the front of the dress is shorter and the back has a slight train, the colour of the dress is a lovely shade of blue! This dress is simplistic and dramaful.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Emma Stone and Katrina Kaif wearing
Oscar De La Renta Dresses
Onto the next designer, who is Oscar De La Renta (another favourite). These dresses present all kinds of elegance and beauty. Lets start off with one of my favourites which is the strapless maroon dress worn by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She looks so beautiful, not only is the colour divine, the full layered skirt just makes the gown look timeless with a dash of elegance.
Now onto all things lace, lace is one of my favourite fabrics to wear because you can look sexy and still be elegant! Emma Stone in this lace ruffled cocktail dress is definitely a dress which gets a lot of heads turning. The ruffled organza adds that extra flare to take the dress to another level. The laced bodice gives the simplicity and elegance vibe which really makes her beauty glow.
The last dress of the post is the sheer lace dress worn by Katrina Kaif, its another strapless number which makes it look sexy! But the ostrich feathered embroidery on the bottom of the dress gives the dress the elegance and shows the true beauty of the dress!

I hope you enjoyed this post I surely have! For more things fashion or if you like a bit of an adventure then follow my blog! :)
