TOAD Diaries Review

July 29, 2016

Hello my lovelies, I hope you are well. I am back with another review. Now many bloggers are always trying to keep organised. Whether that is planning the next blog post or noting down when a particular post is going to be published.

When I started blogging I brought a planner from paperchase at that time the planner was convenient as it started from July last year and ran to July this year. The problem that often arises is that these types of planners/diaries have a particular starting date which is not ideal for everyone.

As you know this is one of the brands I discovered from the #BloggersBall event. TOAD Diaries were kind enough to give me a sample of their product where I could personalise it to my every need.
I love how the business came about, they show that if you want something, why wait for someone else to create it just simply create it yourself!

They are a new business that can go very far, as you see from the images I chose the theme from the molten range. They have many themes and you can personalise the pages using various templates. You can even select the start date at one you desire and you can decide when it finishes. My diary starts in July 2016 and ends December 2017.

I do wish I had bought the book style version as I loved the finish on it. There's always next time! But the ringbinder style is more suited to me as I prefer the way I can turn pages.
Overall I would recommend their product to anyone who is looking for something different and unique. Plus you can personalise the front cover which you cannot do with a lot of diaries. It's like adding your personal touch to it, to make it your own!

This is a splurge purchase as you are paying for what you design, but think about this it's something that will last and keep your life more organised.  So why not treat yourself!

If you are unsure about what the end product will look like, be sure to check out their instagram as their are many designs and styles of other people's purchases! It's definitely worth a look.

Vatika Naturals Review

July 27, 2016

Hello my lovelies I hope you are well. It's been well over a month since I attended the #BloggersBall event organised by Scarlett London. As I mentioned in the vlog and my recent Life Lately I would reviews some of the brands as they were kind enough to provide me with some samples of there products.

On to all things Vatika Naturals....

Now I am not new to there products as I have used there coconut oils which are very good. My Nan is kind of always bringing some back when she goes to India. However I have not used there Vatika Naturals range. I am always delighted to try out new hair products as I feel you cannot use the same shampoo over a long period of time. It is sometimes good to change up your hair routine and products.

The two products I was given were the Vatika Naturals Argan conditioner along with Vatika Naturals Henna Shampoo.

Starting off with the Henna shampoo I was at first sceptical as I know henna is used to dye hair but I was told that it does not change the colour of the hair but simply protects the colour. So I thought what the heck let's try this. My initial thoughts of the shampoo is very good as I noticed that it got rid of grease residue you normally get when using dry shampoo. I normally condition first, once then shampoo twice and the results were effective.  So overall great product and my hair was left soft and clean. However when I was using it at first I did find my hair was getting more greasier but I think it might have been my scalp adapting to the products because as I continued to use them this was not the case.

Moving onto the Argan conditioner which firstly smells heavenly and made my hair feel more shiny and soft at the touch. I started to use the conditioner once or twice a week as my scalp produces more oil. I used these products over a month and thought they are very good hair products to invest in. I would love to see these particular products hit the supermarkets so they are more accessible but there are other products that may be more suited to your hair type in many stores. However I do feel these products are new so they will probably hit the shops soon.

You can check the website here Vatika Naturals

Definitely give them a try as they are worth investing in, especially when they are using natural ingredients.

Why life should be about making memories? #GOMO

July 21, 2016

Hello my lovelies I hope you are enjoying the hot UK weather. So I recently came across Eventbrite and they are running a fun summer project and after much thought I conjured some ideas and thought what the heck let's get involved!

The current generation have evolved vastly in the world of technology and the youth generation are most likely to stay at home and not wonder into the beautiful nature of the world. I mean who am I to judge I have fallen into the trap many times of staying at home rather then going out.

However as I gaze on instagram and double tap those beautiful photos of people having fun and enjoying life, I think to myself instead of being part of FOMO ( Fear Of Missing Out) I know I would rather be part of GOMO (Going Out More Often). Fear is something that restricts you from living life to the absolute max and often you miss out on the crazy and wonderful things in life.... BUT today say goodbye to FOMO and say Hello to GOMO.

When the weather is beautiful outside you should not be sitting inside thinking about what you're going to watch on Netflix, I mean come who isn't guilty of that, INSTEAD you should be calling your friends to link up or even arranging a day trip with the family. The world is your oyster, own it!

When you are older and your children ask you what you did for fun when Summer arrived what are you going to tell them, that you sat at home ALL Summer and watched Netflix?! OR would you say that you called your friends, arranged a shopping trip, then got lost on the journey to your destination and scouted hours for a restaurant that you all finally agreed upon and then caught a late movie and met some lovely people on your way to a ice cream parlour at 3am! Am I going on a bit, well that is what life is about, it's about going out there and defeating the fear and enjoying the outside beauty and fresh air.

Your GOMO bucket list this Summer can be so small but you can make amazing memories if you go and explore the world, when I go out with my family and enjoy our scintillating conversations I sit there and think how lucky I am to have lovely people to share my experience with! It's always about the little things in life whether it is a picnic for 50 or a movie for 2 just remember that could be a day to remember!

If you are rather persuaded by what I have said and discussed in this post and feel yes this Summer I will go out more and organise events then feel free to check out the link below. This link will direct you to the Eventbrite event page where you can organise your personal events, for example if you want to meet new bloggers then this page will be great to use! I used there website to buy my tickets to #Bloggersball and that will be an experience I will never forget. You can even locate events in your area that you may be interested, so what are you waiting for, make this Summer a Summer to remember! #GOMO

Prom Inspiration Ideas #2 Makeup Looks

July 10, 2016

Hello my lovelies, I hope you all are well. Firstly I want to explain that some of my originally planned posts might be posted at a later date. The reason for this is that there are some things going on in my life right now that has caused my focus to be shifted. This post was meant to go out on Friday but over the past week it has been hard for me and my family as we have lost a family member.  I will explain this further in the next Life Lately at the end of July.

On to all things Prom...

Well in the previous post I spoke about the outfits and what you could wear if you are unsure about what to wear. In this post I will be discussing makeup looks.

Now when I think of makeup i'm like whaaaaaaat?! I'm a person who doesn't wear much makeup and does not like to. I just wear the basics, but I currently experimenting with new lip colours and products. That's my obsession right now.

For Prom I think there are two types of looks you can go for like, 1) natural and light makeup or 2) bold and bright.

I think if you have a pastel or light coloured dress or outfit, I would go with light shimmer shades on the eyes and go with a light pink or nude shades on the lips.

If you fancy to be bright and bold then go for the smokey eye and a brighter pink or if you are really daring try red out. Find a shade you like and feel comfortable with it.

Remember makeup should enhance your beauty and wear as much as you feel comfortable with. If you are a newbie to makeup then I would definitely go for the natural look as it is less bold and it's a safe option. You will not feel too shocked when you look at yourself in the mirror!

I have selected three looks from some of my favourite YouTubers. These are their prom inspired looks, but they have great makeup tutorials so have a gander on their channels and see if you find some inspiration.

Here are the links to the Prom makeup tutorials from some of my favourite YouTuber's
Tutorial | Glam Party/Prom Makeup Look | Kaushal Beauty
Cinderella Movie Inspired Makeup Tutorial For Prom! (Melanie Murphy)
PROM MAKEUP TUTORIAL // MyPaleSkin
I was always think you have to start somewhere to get inspiration for any event you are planning for.

Thank you for reading my post, I hope you found all the tips and advice helpful.
